Saturday: The Young Philly Politics Birthday Party

On Saturday we are having a YPP Birthday Party. Among the invited guests: Ray Murphy, Kofi Annan, Ben Waxman, T.O., Alex Urevick-Ackelsberg, Charles Graham, Don Rumsfeld, and... you?

Basically, this is a way to come off-line, and meet the writers and fellow readers of Young Philly Politics. It is a time to throw back some beer with other young and young at heart Philadelphia progressives. Our little site has been around for about a year now, and we want to celebrate- Saturday, November 19th, 7pm, at the Black Sheep (247 S. 17th St).

You don't really want to miss seeing Ben Waxman in person, do you?

If you want the evite, send us an email at YoungPhillyPolitics (at) gmail.com. This is going to be fun. You coming?

sooo

wish i could make it......

Though I can't make this birthday bash due to a previously scheduled throw-down at my own place this Saturday night, I'll put money on Ben being drunk before he gets there and Ray just gettin' plain ole drunk.

Planning ahead?

Kofi does have a heavy schedule, but do we have to wait until 2006 (next Saturday, November 18th)? How about Saturday, November 19th?

I'm 100% coming!

If you're coming, please post something interesting about yourself. I want to get a sense of what this crowd is going to be like.

I'm a junior at Juniata College and perfer light beer to dark.

nothing interesting

i don't really have anything interesting to disclose about my self except, i dreamed of emulating that dude on police academy who made all those sounds as back up for stage performers. drinks and political dialogue! i'll be there.

might stop by

I'm not sure. It'll be finalized later.

I miss Tranzor Z and Voltron. The lions one.

are women allowed?

especially those who like to drink whiskey?

Nah, no women

who like whiskey.

Only those who drink bourbon.

no women, no me

i think a party with all men is boring. sports are for sex bonding not parties.

um

Only one way to find out... But, that would be a good assumption to make.

thanks, I fixed it...

thanks, I fixed it...

too cool

100% change for Ben showing up somewhere is like 50/50 to the rest of us. So what odds are you setting on your actually being able to make it? Aren't you like the guy who was to cool to even show up to his own party? OK, just kidding. See you there.

hmmm

This thread has really ventured into a scary place.
