THE ANASTASIO TEAM- Cleaning up our City
Vern Anastasio was raised among his family's century-old businesses on the 9th Street Market. For the last 14 years, Anastasio has built a career working to reform government. Vern founded the Bella Vista United Civic Association and is the visionary behind the National Italian Memorial. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Casino Free Philadelphia, Neighbors Allied for the Best Waterfront, St. Paul's Parish and the Greater Philadelphia Preservation Alliance. Vern lives around the corner from his childhood home with his two small children, Jacob Dean and Elizabeth, and his wife, Leslie, former Director of NARAL Pro-Choice PA, who serves on the Pennsylvania Commission for Women.

If Vern hung up signs that said "100% straight" or "Vern Anastasio: He's no homo!" then maybe you're argument might have some merit. It's just not the same as what Knox did.

Still Homophobic I see in this city
Why do we have to keep up with labels. Who cares who you are , the question is CAN YOU DO THE JOB BETTER THAN THE NEXT MAN?
No one cares who's gay, straight, but maybe some do, but its not needed in this election. Putting on labels will not guarantee victory in this city. Who knows who's who unless they announce that , and after that who cares. I need the right man or woman for the position straight or gay, black or irish. And don't care how many groups your in or associations your affiliated with.
