Media is an easy commute
The R3 runs there, half hour out of Suburban Station, or a token and a transfer gets you there by riding the El to 69th Street and hopping the 101 trolley that rambles Delco all the way to the County Seat.
State Street actually has decent lunch places, and on Baltimore there's a real diner, the Court Diner.
If you're driving, you can stop on the way back at the little formerly socialist turn of the century Arts & Crafts village, Rose Valley, kind of a little Brigadoon for Philly lefties with its Hobbiton-like theatre, the Hedgerow, where I occasionally acted as a kid.
Fun day trip to protest the Darth Vader of the hour.
Round trip to Media is $8.25
Round trip to Media is $8.25 on the R3, and I imagine it's cheaper on the ol' 101. Downtown Media is a great place. Maybe we can get together some carpools as well.
We need a big crowd for this one, so please spread the word to friends, family, and colleagues!
$4.40 = 2 tokens + 2 tranfers, roundtrip to/from Media
Can't beat that.
Tomorrow is so important.
If you know folks in DelCo who can take an hour, please urge them to attend tomorrow's event. While the health care debate has captured our attention - a crisis still rages right here in our communities. Let's put the pressure on Senator Dominic Pileggi to pass a budget that is good for Pennsylvanians - and if you're from Philly, to move forward with legislation that would prevent us from falling into Plan C by next week.
We hope to see you there.
